James Kernan has over 20 years of experience in airplane and helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). He worked as a shot peening process engineer for manual, flapper, wheel, and automated nozzle and then transitioned workload to new robotic nozzle computer monitored equipment. James has developed training for operators and technical briefings for engineers. From developing repairs on critical safety aircraft parts to managing shot peening shop operations, Mr. Kernan brings relevant information to anyone at entry level, journeyman, manager, or engineer. James is an active member of the SAE Surface Enhancement Committee which maintains industry specifications for Shot Peening and Rotary-Flap Peening processes.
